Welcome to Morro Bay Dining

It all started with a quest to find the perfect phad thai (which I believe is in a little food court in Norfolk, Virginia). My husband and I love to travel and we love to eat. Any meal away from home is another opportunity to try a new restaurant and perhaps find a new favorite. Granted, life keeps us on a pretty tight budget, so we always keep a look-out for tasty food at a great price.

I love to cook and bake, and sometimes my kids wish I could go a week without trying a new recipe. The same with restaurants. Rarely do my kids get McDonalds. But don't worry, they're developing the ability to find the best fries, the best ice cream, the best donut... (You'll notice that most of my reviews include a Kids' Opinion.)

Living in Morro Bay, we realize that there are so many restaurants, but very little help finding "the right one" (aside from pulling over and asking the locals). Many people come to visit for the weekend and they don't have time or money to waste on a mediocre meal. Morro Bay has so much to offer (as do nearby towns), from restaurants by the bay with linens and thick menus, to small, casual restaurants off the beaten path. My desire is that this website can help you find your way to the restaurant that's right for you, where you know what to expect in regards to the menu, atmosphere, and price.
